When’s the Best Time for Newborn Photography?
The newborn stage is tiny — just like your baby. The best time to book your newborn photography session is when your baby is between 5–14 days old. That’s when they’re still all curled up and sleepy, happy to snuggle into those natural poses and soak in the snuggles.
But let’s be real — life doesn’t always go to plan. If you’ve already welcomed your new addition and think you’ve “missed the moment,” don’t panic. Older babies bring their own gorgeous charm, and we can still capture beautiful family portraits and connection-filled images full of personality.
The ideal time to book your newborn photoshoot is during your second trimester to make sure there’s space in the diary. But I’ll always do my best to fit in late bookings, because these fleeting moments deserve to be remembered, however they arrive.
